BUYER GUIDE
MOQ means minimum order quantity. For a clothing brand, understanding MOQ early helps avoid unrealistic quotes and makes the sampling and production plan easier to manage.
What determines clothing MOQ?
MOQ can depend on garment construction, fabric availability, color count, trims, printing or embroidery, packaging and the factory workflow. A simple repeat style may be easier to produce at a lower quantity than a highly customized garment with special fabric and many colors.
Style, color and size planning
Ask whether the MOQ applies to the whole style or to each color. A 100-piece order can have a different production plan when it uses one color compared with several colors. A size breakdown should also be confirmed before bulk production so cutting and packing are organized correctly.
How samples fit into the MOQ discussion
A sample is developed before bulk production so the brand can approve fit, construction, fabric, trims, artwork and finishing. HaoboMFG typically completes sample development within 15 days after the required details are confirmed. The approved sample then becomes the reference for the production brief and quality checks.
HaoboMFG starting MOQ
HaoboMFG normally works from a starting MOQ of 50 pieces per style and color, subject to style, fabric and color requirements. We review the product information before confirming whether the requested quantity is practical. Bulk production is about one month after the specifications and materials are approved, depending on the style and order requirements.
